Dr. (Mrs) Ngozi Eunice Egbuna is currently the Director General at the West African Monetary Institute (WAMI).  Previously, she held several positions as she rose through the ranks at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).  Before her appointment, she was the Director/Head of the Policy Support Division in the Monetary Policy Department of the CBN.  She is a member of several professional bodies including life membership of the Nigerian Economic Society, Nigerian Statistical Association, Farm Management Association of Nigeria, Nigerian Agricultural Extension Association, Internal Farm Management Association and Nigerian Agricultural Policy Research Network.

Dr Egbuna is very well published, writing many articles for various journals and professional magazines and newsletters/newspapers.  She has also written and published some books, such a “A Peep into an African Kitchen: Perspectives from Onitsha, Nigeria” (2005), “The History of Nigerian Economic Society” (2007), “ Economics made Simple for the Basic Learner – A Children’s Book” (2016), Cross Border Trade in Agriculture Commodities Between Nigeria and Her Neighbours” (2016).

Dr Egbuna holds: Master of Science, Economics; Master of Science, Technology and Rural Development and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), in Development Economics.
